Akunur Documentor

Board size

The 7-ring board is the standard Documentor view. The 9-ring board uses the same renderer with two extra rings. On the 9-ring board, the optional Compact guide marks the ring-7 boundary and the six Compact corner cells.

Formal setups

Expanded start alignment

Compact uses the seven-ring board. Expanded uses all nine rings. The alignment selector affects only the 4p, 5p and 6p Expanded presets, letting the current tested layout be compared visually with a centred alternative. Four players are supported in either board mode.

Place pieces

Player 2, Player 4 and Player 6 use provisional blue, green and purple Documentor colours. These are illustration placeholders, not yet locked physical production colours.

Teaching highlights

Blue marks a source or reference position; pink marks a destination, result or affected position.

Corner token

Placing a stone on a corner automatically removes its available-token ring. Use this tool to override that when documenting a position.

Position

The Documentor accepts its own 2–6 player position JSON, a full 3.2.2 game save, and legacy Diagram Editor JSON. Position links contain the board state in the URL, so no server-side storage is required.

Tips

Click a tool, then click board cells. The Documentor deliberately ignores game legality so you can build minimal teaching positions. Press Escape to leave clean screenshot view. Ctrl/Cmd+Z undoes an edit. Print board opens the normal browser print dialog in board-only view. Download 508 mm PDF is available for a 9-ring board and creates a true 508 × 508 mm (20 × 20 inch) PDF directly, bypassing browser and printer page-size limits. Open that PDF in Acrobat and use Poster printing at 100% to tile it onto A4.
